I Wonder If He'd Like Me?

I wonder if he’d like if I grew a bit wider

I wonder if it could work out if my chest area got larger

Or maybe if I combed my hair and struck a welcoming pose

Or if I changed my state of mind and wore some decent clothes

Perhaps if I could ride a mile, or maybe if I could dance

Perhaps if I went to see him and didn’t speak about math

Or if I could tongue wrestle or sing in a lullaby

Perhaps if I cleaned my shoes and didn’t behave as shy

Or maybe if I could build his ship and go sail the Carib sea

With nothing but some paper and some extra sticky cottage cheese

I wonder if he’d like me for the many reasons that I listed

I wonder if the guy I’m hoping for actually existed?
