I hope you believe what I say
Because I wouldn't tell a lie
I couldn't bring my homework today
And here are the reasons why
I messed up the assignment
That you gave to us yesterday
It bubbled from the test tube
And slithered itself away
It melted through the table
And burnt up the floor mat
Convulsed across my room floor
And severely de-furred the cat
It tumbled down the staircase
with a horrible frying noise
It wobbled to the living room
And engulfed all my toys
It dragged itself to the kitchen
And digested all the plates
The yellow blob got larger
With everything it ate
It writhed around the in the bathroom
Digesting the toilet and iron ware
It snuck up on my napping brother
And caught him unaware
Im so upset being at school today
My head's going through a bog
But Mr. Derby here's my excuse......its sad to say
MY HOMEWORK ATE MY DOG!!!
